"From its inception, Little Wonders has existed to preserve the kind of care working parents would give to their children if they were at home. We work diligently to provide a "next best thing to home" environment. Our staff cares deeply about each child which fosters a real family atmosphere at the Center.
"As a young child's world becomes ever bigger, their ability to successfully navigate new challenges is directly influenced by those who facilitate the exploration. At Little Wonders each teacher understands the importance of our work, and we are thankful to have the opportunity to play a small part in the journey."
Little Wonders - About Us
Cathy Ham, CEO
Cathy Ham feels the most rewarding jobs throughout her career have been those where she felt she made a difference and had a positive effect on her community, especially when it came to children and families. With that in mind, as Little Wonders CEO and founder, Cathy is proud to provide the community with a high quality early childhood education center.
Before opening Little Wonders it was that same principal that informed Cathyís work throughout her career. As Rutlandís first Director of Recreation, Cathy focused on community, developing new learning and recreational opportunities for area children and their families. That is when programs such as The Safe Place, Under the Learning Tree and the Summer Fun Camp were launched. Also at that time Cathy realized the town pool, closed for many years, was a recreational asset for Rutland and she was instrumental in the re-opening of the pool in 2000.
Cathy grew up in Rutland and attended Worcester State University, earning a BA in Communications. She and her husband Jeffrey raised their three children here, and are the proud grandparents of three.
"Iím deeply invested in our community, and strive to provide the highest quality early childhood learning experience for our children. I welcome you to stop in and take a look at Little Wonders."
